How It Started
I was introduced to DJing by my friend DJ YC the summer before my senior year of high school.
At the time, I didn’t realize that simple introduction would lead to a lifelong passion.
That same school year, I joined a class called College Summit taught by Ms. Anita Jarmon — a teacher who believed in showing students that success had many paths. She was a DJ in college and would bring her equipment to class every day, keeping it set up in the back of the room.
After watching her mix a few times, I couldn’t help myself — I started spending every free moment back there, learning, experimenting, and getting lost in the music. I stayed in the back of that classroom every day until winter break, slowly learning how to control the sound, read a crowd, and create a vibe.
The First Gigs
My first official gig was at our Band Winter Social, and my second was at our schools basketball game.
Those two events lit the fire. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to make a career out of creating energy for people.
Then came March 14, 2020 — Pi Day. I’ll never forget it. That was my last gig before COVID hit.
They told us we wouldn’t be back in school for two weeks. Two weeks became two months. Two months became the rest of the year.
But while the world stopped, I kept going. I spent the entire pandemic practicing, studying, and improving my craft.
The College Grind: Elizabeth City State University
After graduation, I enrolled at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU). Events were slow that first semester — COVID was still keeping things quiet.
So instead of waiting, I created my own lane. I practiced daily, hosted unsanctioned campus events, and made every mistake I needed to learn what worked and what didn’t.
By the end of my first year, I had done a few gigs for the school and decided it was time to make things official.
On December 27, 2021, I filed paperwork for my first LLC — 3o7 Promotions & Management, LLC.
That’s when everything changed.
Building a Brand & A Name
Once I launched 3o7PM, opportunities started rolling in. I began working more closely with the university, curating larger events on and off campus, and booking consistent gigs back home in Maryland.
That same year, I started DJing for Temple Hills Swim Club, providing sound and hosting for swim meets and private events.
By my senior year at ECSU, I had built a name for myself as the main campus DJ, performing for homecomings, talent shows, sports games, and student events.
From there, things only expanded — I started performing at weddings, graduations, festivals, private parties, poetry slams, skating rinks, proms, and even COVID testing facilities.
Every gig taught me something new about timing, crowd energy, and professionalism.
The Entrepreneur & The Creative
Before I ever became DJ_3o7, I was already an entrepreneur.
I started in middle school cleaning and restoring sneakers, turned that into custom apparel, and then used those skills to design and brand 3o7PM and 3o7AM.
Each venture built on the last — from Grasp Shoes, to custom heat vinyl shirts, to Greek eyewear and apparel, and finally, to event production and creative management.
By the time I graduated, I had started two LLCs, built partnerships with schools, universities, and brands, and established myself as both a DJ and a business owner.
Now, through 3o7PM, I serve as a DJ, host, producer, designer, and event curator — helping schools, brands, and organizations create unforgettable experiences.
(3o7PM is also a PGCPS-approved vendor, providing professional DJ and A/V services across Maryland.)
The Next Chapter: Producing Music
At the start of January, I decided to take another step in my creative career — music production.
After years of playing and mixing other people’s music, I felt it was time to create my own.
Now, with a deeper understanding of sound design, crowd flow, and creative direction, I’m building a catalog of original beats and planning my first official releases as an artist-producer.
This next phase will merge everything I’ve learned — DJing, event curation, brand building, and visual storytelling — into a more complete version of who DJ_3o7 is meant to be.

🌟 What I’ve Learned
Starting entrepreneurship in middle school taught me the value of patience and persistence.
Launching my first LLC in college taught me the importance of structure.
Balancing it all taught me that creativity means nothing without consistency.
Everything I’ve done — from cleaning shoes to spinning for sold-out crowds — was built on the same mindset: ask questions, stay curious, keep working, and never lose sight of where you’re headed.
🚀 Where I’m Headed
Who knows where the next stage will be — but I know I’ll keep working every day until I reach financial freedom and creative fulfillment.
I want my story to be the one that inspires people to keep going — to show that you can build something from nothing with patience, family, motivation, and drive.
This is only the beginning.
